Bioinformatician & Developer

About me My skills
Hi, I'm Margaux, a computer scientist !

Working in data analysis and web development including database management.
Mainly interested in data manipulation and creating interactive interfaces.
I am also a musician, photographer and adventurer....

My non-scientific self

Currently in my 20's, I am always up to new experiences and travelling.
I own some driving licences (car and bike + boat), own a sportbike and a Dax.
I travel either with friends, my partner or by myself and discovered almost all continents (Antartica, maybe one day who knows...)

Activities

Horseriding for as far as I remember, I participated to national championships.
I've been now skydiving for more than a year and plan to discover all skies!
Let's not forget that I also dive underwater around the globe...

I am a photography enthusiast and here is some on my work...

"En Surface" - Sport's inspiration prize in the
Salon National des photographes amateurs des armées
November 2023

"Abysses" - Sport's inspiration prize in the
Salon Régional des photographes amateurs des armées
May 2023

"MuCEM" - Jury's choice prize in the
Concours photo étudiant de la ville de Marseille (p.122)
May 2017

"r-H2O" - Jury's president's choice in

Post-Doc Researcher - 2025

Deciphering transcriptomic changes in reef coral Stylophora pistillata between high dinoflagelates density zones (HDD) and low dinoflagellates density zones (LDD) such as the growing edge in light and dark conditions.
This project includes the growing of coral cuts, RNA extraction, sequencing and analysis.
Alexander Venn - Physiology and Biochemistry team at the Scientific Center of Monaco.

PhD 2021 - 2024

Firstly, I am enhancing the mitoXplorer 2.0 by incorporating a single-cell analysis section thereby creating version 3.0.
Additionally, I am developing a sister platform called ataxiaXplorer, building its unique interactome by gathering RNA-seq data from various spinocerebellar ataxias and conducting analyses to identify shared genes.
The ultimate aim is to provide users with a tool to explore their data more comprehensively within the contexts of both ataxia and mitochondria.
Bianca Habermann - Computational Biology team at the IBDM.

Teaching 2020 - 2024

I have been teaching R and mySQL in Master 1, Licence 2 & 3 writing, doing and correcting courses, trainings and exams.
Aix-Marseille Université - AMU.

Bioinformatics engineer

IBDM provided me with the opportunity to pursue my Master 2 internship, which resulted in the publication of my RNA-seq analysis R-shiny App called RNfuzzyApp. During this year, I analyzed RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, DamID and CUT&RUN data and contributed to mitoXplorer 2.0 and Annominer .

Master interships

M1 - Characterizing molecular trajectories to elucidate the mechanisms underlying tumor cell interactions in various conditions. To achieve this, I conducted a Mean Squared Displacement (MSD) adjustment.
Arnaud Sergé - "Leuko/Stromal Interactions in Normal and Pathological Hematopoiesis" team at the CRCM. Report (in french)

M2 - Bulk RNA-seq data analysis in D.melanogaster.
Ultimately, I developed an R-Shiny app to empower biologists to conduct their analyses independently. This experience underscored the significance of creating a user-friendly interface.
Bianca Habermann - Computational Biology team at the IBDM. Report (in english)
